Hexapeptide-33
Synthetic
Hexapeptide-33 is a biologically active peptide with the sequence Ser-Phe-Lys-Leu-Arg-Tyr-NH 2(SFKLRY) that stimulates blood vessel formation, known under the trade name W3 peptide. It was developed by Novacell Technology (NCP901) using peptide library technology.
Hexapeptide-33 targets G-Protein-Coupled-Receptors (GPCR) widely distributed in human body cells. Novel studies showed that a subtype of the GPCR family, the Adhesion G-Protein-Coupled Receptor (aGPCR), is expressed in skin keratinocytes and is involved in epidermal differentiation.
The manufacturer claims a triple beneficial effect starting with "W":
Hexapeptide-33 is used in many anti-aging products, including facial creams, masks, and treatments. The safety assessment of the peptide showed that it is not irritating at the concentrations used in cosmetics and is well tolerated by the skin.

sh-Polypeptide-22 is a synthetic recombinant human transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGFβ-1) analog peptide composed of 113 amino acids.
Palmitoyl sh-Tripeptide-3 Amide is a low molecular weight lipo-peptide derived from Pro-Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF; sequence position 894-896) that stimulates cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation by binding to its receptor EGFR.
Hydrolysed soybean proteins are known for their anti-aging effect on the skin. Among the small peptides in soybean protein hydrolysates, a tripeptide combining the gamma-glutamic acid-cysteine sequence was selected that was effective in collagen proliferation.
Glutamoyl Cysteinoyl Beta-Alaninoyl Glutamoyl Tetrapeptide-58 is a synthetic octapeptide manufactured through the chemical synthesis of motifs found in soybean peptides. It is known under the Catchitide-2 and is designed for antioxidant, whitening, and wrinkle improvement action.
sh-Polypeptide-2 is a synthetic recombinant analog of human Thioredoxin (TRX) that stimulates dermal cell growth and proliferation and protects them from oxidative stress. Thioredoxin is a natural cytoprotector peptide present in all human cells.
sh-Polypeptide-64 is a synthetic recombinant peptide derived from the human Aquaporin-1 (AQP-1) protein that promotes the transport of water across biological membranes.
Besides lactation, human Prolactin is a hormone that regulates hair follicle cycles, angiogenesis, keratinocyte proliferation, and the activity of epithelial stem cells.
Acetyl Tripeptide-30 Citrulline is a synthetic peptide that prevents the degradation of extracellular matrix components through the inhibition of MMP (metalloproteinase) enzymes. It has the sequence Ac-Arg-His-His-Cit.
Crystalide™ is a peptide-based complex by Sederma with an illuminating effect from deeper skin layers to the surface. The concept of "Glass Skin" is a popular trend in modern skincare, referring to translucent, hydrated, luminous skin.
The skin is facing many kinds of stress, such as aging, mycobacterium and virus attack, UV and infrared light, and recently issued environmental stress, such as pollen, PM2.5, and PM10, including its harmful components polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and heavy metals.
Caprooyl tetrapeptide-3 is a biomimetic lipopeptide structure based on TGF-ß (transforming growth factor beta) that plays an essential role in the natural production of the extracellular matrix components.
s-Mu-Conotoxin CnIIIC is a synthetic oligopeptide derived from one of the marine cone snails' toxins, also called conotoxins or conopeptides. μ-CnIIIC is a 22-amino-acid-length conotoxin polypeptide obtained from Conus consors, which exhibited muscle-relaxing properties in tests on rodents.
