Galanin receptor agonist

Biological Activity

Galanin (porcine) is an endogenous porcine galanin receptor agonist (pK i values are 9.63, 9.49, 9.02, 8.98, 8.01 and 8.14 at hGAL 1, rGAL 1, hGAL 2, rGAL 2, hGAL 3 and rGAL 3 respectively). Significantly increases food intake under free access conditions and also has roles in learning and memory, anxiety and sexual behavior.
