Melasma is one of the most common—and stubborn—forms of hyperpigmentation, which is why so many people are on the hunt for the best products for melasma. “Melasma is a pigmentary disorder that appears as lacy, reticulated brown patches,” says Corey L. Hartman, MD, a board-certified dermatologist in Birmingham, Alabama.
