If the unit is wall mounted can you get to the fan switch? How far off the wall is the heater if wall mounted?
Inktum: The 1/2 inch provided by the wall Mount is not enough space for my fingers, I furred it out another 1 1/2 inch by ripping a 2x4.
ProductExpert30: With the included mounting bracket the heater will be approximately 1" from the rear wall. You would be able to reach the fan switch from the top of the heater.
gas sources Will these units run on piped in natural gas?
BigGuy2: This model is for propane only. There is a similar heater for natural gas.

Do the LP Gas vent free heaters have an odor when they are burning?

Thermostat I see the thermostat has 5 temperature settings, what are they? Or what is the approximate range?
ProductExpert19: The range is approximately 60-80 degrees, increasing about 5 degrees at each setting.
Mr. Heater Product Expert: The range for these begins at 60 degrees, increasing roughly 5 degrees each setting and goes up to about 80 degrees.
Do you need a pressure control between the tank and heater?
ProductExpert38: Yes, you would want to use regulator item 25819.
Is there a LP hose included? How long is the hose?
ProductExpert12: This heater does not include a hose. We do offer a 5 ft. hose, item 330972, which is compatible. We also offer a 22 in. universal gas connection kit.
Will this work with and connect to a 20lb Propane tank?
ProductExpert10: The heater can be used with a 20-lb tank. A regulator is required. Northern Tool does offer item #25819 for the regulator.
What is the BTU breakdown for the different temp. settings.
ProductExpert5: The Low setting is 5-10,000 BTU's, the Medium setting is 10-15,000 BTUs, and the High setting is 15-20,000 BTU's.
Can this be used to heat a small greenhouse?
ProductExpert29: This unit can be used to heat a small greenhouse. This unit does require a fresh air supply. Please refer to the product manual, found on this product's specifications page, for full installation and fresh air requirements.
What would the restrictions from the top of heater to the ceiling? In other words top of Heater to another object?
ProductExpert37: This heater should not be installed where curtains, furniture, clothing, or other flammable objects are less than 36 inches from the front, top, or sides of the heater.
