Calculating charging time depends on factors like battery size, charger speed, and power supply. We’ve simplified it for you! Simply use this intuitive calculator to estimate the time it will take to charge your EV on a Level 2 charger based on your EV model or by defining your charging details.
Car Make
Choose your car’s make from the dropdown list.
Car Model
Choose your car’s model from the dropdown list.
Charging Levels
By default the calculator is set to charge from 20-80% to ensure battery longevity, but this can be customized to your use case.
Charging estimates are for reference purposes only. Actual charging times can be influenced by environmental conditions, charger condition, equipment lifespan, vehicle settings, and other operational factors.
To further customize the calculations, select the “By Battery & Power” tab.
Charging Power (kW)
The rate of charge is limited by either the charging station’s supply of electricity or the vehicle’s onboard charger. Select the lesser of the two for a more accurate estimate. By default, the calculator uses an EV’s maximum charging acceptance rate.
Battery Size (kWh)
The vehicle’s battery size determines the EV’s range and are commonly upgradeable at the time of purchasing your EV. It is crucial to the calculation to select the correct battery size.
Charge Level
Select the starting and target charge levels from 0 (empty battery) to 100 (full charge).
