Prototype and production PCB assembly with quick turnaround, IPC-certified quality, and full turnkey options
From Single Prototypes to Small Production Runs
At BESTProto, we have been working with the hardware development community for many years, supporting new product introduction (NPI) with fast-turnaround prototypes, PCB assemblies, and box builds.
BESTProto is a U.S.-based PCB assembly partner specializing in high-mix and low-volume PCB Assembly. Whether you need a one-off prototype for R&D or a small production run to meet urgent deadlines, our team of skilled engineers and technicians ensures every board is built to the highest standards.
With hundreds of satisfied clients across the U.S. and internationally, we’ve earned our reputation as a go-to partner for fast, reliable PCB assembly services.
Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) is the process of mounting electronic components onto a bare PCB to create a functional board. At BESTProto, we support all major assembly types, including:
The end-to-end PCB assembly service where we source all required components, perform DFM analysis, assemble PCBs, inspect and test them before shipping.
We partially source the required components, while the customer provides all bare boards and additional parts. We assemble and test the boards before shipping.
Labor-only service where all the bare boards, components, and parts required for the assembly are provided by the customer. We assemble and inspect the boards before shipping.
BESTProto’s assemblies are built to IPC-A-610 Class 2 and Class 3 standards. We follow strict inspection and testing protocols, including:
Our commitment ensures every board performs reliably in mission-critical applications, from consumer devices to aerospace systems.
Once we receive all the needed files, boards, and components, we produce the assembled boards within 5 business days.
Once we receive all the needed files, boards, and components, we produce the assembled boards within 10 business days.
Once we receive all the needed files, boards, and components, we produce the assembled boards within 20 business days.

A high-level overview of the standard PCB Assembly process.
Our team confirms the receipt of the necessary files (Gerber, ODB++, BOM), product requirements, and order details.
Prepare for solder deposition process. Program our machines based on the information received. Any discrepancies found in the files are addressed.
Whether sourced by us or the client, our team audits the received kit. Any discrepancies are addressed before the assembly lead time begins.
SMT components are assembled on our automated equipment. The first board goes through extensive QA to assure correct part placement and passive SMT verification.
As the first boards come off the reflow oven, the first article inspection is performed with our AOI equipment to catch any assembly issues.
All leadless devices, such as BGA parts, are X-rayed to verify placement accuracy and detect any solder bridges.
THT, mechanical, and special parts are inserted and soldered manually or using our selective soldering machines, depending on the board design and quantities.
The assembled boards are washed, then subjected to a thorough IPC-610 final quality inspection.
The finished PCB assemblies and any extra materials are prepped for packaging and then shipped back to the client or drop-shipped as instructed.
Short answer? Our people. While many EMS providers can procure the same equipment and tools, the difference in making sure your prototypes are completed on your demanding schedule is the BESTProto staff.
From the professional and trained inside project managers, to the process engineers handling the project, to the professional SMT and soldering technicians, the personnel at BESTProto make the difference. The close working relationship between the prototype builder and the designer or design team is crucial for success.
BESTProto has the experience in communicating with the design community in an efficient, courteous manner, which makes the fast turnaround of prototypes possible.
You guys are magicians. I will be telling my family how grateful I am for BestProto this Thanksgiving.

Working with Bestproto remains one of the best times for building the product. It was fast, iterative, collaborative, and efficient. From the design to the working product, they were great to work with.

Over the last year, I have worked with the Bestproto team on prototyping and assembling a new product from the ground up. The assigned team comprised some solid engineers who truly understood the value of a well-built electronic device.
