High-Temperature PTFE (Teflon) Tape is a chemically inert, electrically insulating protective tape designed for demanding battery assembly workflows, including pouch cell side/top sealing operations and general high-temperature masking. PTFE is well known for its low surface energy (non-stick behaviour), broad chemical compatibility, and stable dielectric performance, making it a practical “release + protection” layer around heated tooling and sensitive components.
During heat sealing, lamination, or thermal contact steps, PTFE provides a smooth, non-adhesive surface that helps prevent sticking, scorching, and contamination transfer. In battery pack and cell assembly, the tape also acts as a barrier layer to reduce abrasion, improve electrical isolation, and protect nearby polymer films and fixtures from heat exposure.
