Oxytocin is a nonapeptide hormone which is produced endogenously in the hypothalamus. Oxytocin promotes contractions of the smooth muscular tissue from the oestrogen sensitised uterus and lacteal gland.
Labour weakness, promotion of involutio uteri, retentio secundinarum, uterus atonia, uterus haemorrhages and treatment of agalactia postpartum.
Only in case of overdoses:
For intramuscular or subcutaneous administration.
