Description

Fibrinopeptide B is produced by thrombin catalyzed cleavage of the N-terminal β chain of fibrinogen. Fibrinopeptide is produced during the coagulation of fibrinogen and can cause chemotactic migration of neutrophils. Measurement of fibrinopeptide B in serum is a sensitive marker for thrombosis.
